The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is a governing body in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is only second in authority to the First Presidency. Quorum members have responsibilities in the administration of the LDS Church and are usually based out of the Church's headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States of America. Members of the LDS Church also believe that apostles are special witnesses of Jesus Christ and that it is their duty to travel throughout the world and testify of Christ and His divine mission.
